Mrs. Robyn H. Eastin, B.S. of Science Education
Growing up in a family of 6 in the small community of Newdale, Idaho was a town I am proud to call home. I attended Sugar Salem High School where I was active in sports, cheerleading, taking piano, playing softball and riding in a rodeo club called the Rough Riders. I was accused of loving horses more than boys, which may have been true but my love for horses gave me many opportunities. I married a man with 5 children and together we had one and with my 3 brought the total to 9! So you guessed it, “The Brady Bunch,” of yours, mine and ours. That adventure has led to 16 grandchildren. What a journey. I guess I've needed all of these experiences in order to become a passionate teacher. I started teaching at Madison High School in 1993. Growing up as Sugar Salem Digger made it a challenge to convert over to being loyal to the Madison Bobcats who were our rivals. I soon became loyal to the red, white and gray. Some of my interests include water and snow skiing, traveling, playing golf, tennis, boating, swimming and playing with my grandchildren. If that’s not enough, I started a small business running the Sno Shack and Snoasis here in Rexburg. This has given me the opportunity to hire many of my students and family members. Growing up in a small town has not hurt me one bit. I feel my opportunities have been many. Growing up in a small town has given me much to share with the hundreds of students I been privileged to teach. For that I am grateful.
